The SPEEDCOM T1/E1 through 4x T1/E1 products provide full-duplex,
T1 or E1 point-to-point connections, using Direct Sequence
Spread Spectrum, between two locations up to 25 miles apart.
You can expand your network by linking SC5800 station pairs
in a multiple-hop configuration. These clear channel T1/E1
links can be easily interconnected to a variety of customer
premise devices to meet all of your voice, video and data
communications requirements.
One of the most important advantages of the SPEEDCOM SC products
is scalability. Once you install a link, there is no need
to change the RF unit, modem, cables, or antenna to increase
throughput. Upgrade from T1/E1 to 2x T1/E1 or a 4x T1/E1,
with simple software updates. This preserves your original
investment, lowers the incremental cost for the additional
bandwidth, and allows the solution to grow with your business
needs.
For ease of installation and maximum performance, one of
three predefined frequency bands can be selected. Users may
also independently control the Transmit and Receive frequencies,
enabling a truly flexible solution. The SPEEDCOM SC5800 uses
a modular design consisting of the data rate independent indoor
unit combined with the 5.8 GHz outdoor unit. These full-featured
systems are completely software configurable and support SNMP
network management.
For LAN-to-LAN connectivity, the SC5800 may also be configured
to bridge or route IP via a wayside Ethernet channel in addition
to the T1/E1 payload. Each unit also carries an integrated
spectrum analyzer to assist with integration and troubleshooting,
eliminating the need to rent expensive test equipment.
